Intended Use: Total Cholesterol Test Kit (Oxidase Method) is intended for quantitative in vitro determination of total cholesterol (TC) and auxiliary diagnosis for hypercholesterolemia. TC in serum contains cholersterylester and free cholesterol. Cholesterol, the mainly component of cell membrane, is the row material of bile acid, hormone and Vitamin D. TC is affected by the factors of age, sex, diet, heredity, etc. Increasing concentration of TC in serum can be seen in diseases of familial hypercholesterolemia (arising from long-term diet of high-cholesterol, high-saturated fat and high-calorie, etc), nephropathy, hypothyroidism, choledoch obstruction, diabetes and so on.
